A new series of original paintings by Ron Lesser
Hancock's most famous service was as the commander on the field at Gettysburg.
Hancock was in command of the "left wing " of the army, consisting 1, 11, 111, and the X1 Corps.
He was in the center of the Union line at the time of the massive assault which came to be known as Pickett's Charge.
This original portrait, painted in 2011, is 8 inches by 10 inches - oil on wood panel.
